The cover of the oversized volume spells out the title of the book: The Treasure Hunt. When you open the book, a large wooden library with an intricate parquet floor pops up. Beginning on the cover, a series of cloth footprints leads up to the steps of this library.
The space in this book references a rare book library in Baltimore Maryland. This library was the first place I was allowed to handle John James Audubon’s double elephant folios; thus, the scale of the book is a reflection of the awe I felt in the presence of that particular masterpiece.
